Trainee Design Engineer
Location: Shrewsbury
Duration:Permanent
Hours:9 am -5 pm, Monday Friday (onsite)
Package:£26,000 - £30,000 depending on experience level
25 days annual leave + stats
Due to growth, our well-established client is looking to recruit a Junior Designer into their thriving business. This is such an exciting prospect for maybe a recent graduate, or someone who is just looking to get their foot in the door within a modern, forward-thinking and VERY reputable name in their field.
The Trainee Design Engineer will be getting involved in:
Working with the other designers in producing bespoke designs for some amazing products
Assisting with developing 3D models for early stages of design process
Gathering information from customers and suppliers on the phone
Using Solidworks Software to prepare manufacturing drawings
Rendering designs
Assist the wider team in developing new and existing products
We are looking for someone who:
Has some base level experience within a design role, where you will have had customer contact and gained experience using CAD modelling (ideally Solidworks)
Someone who is looking for their next step to progress their Design background whether that be a recent Graduate or someone who has gained some on-the-job experience in product or structural design work
You will be passionate about excited about product development, be able to contribute to concept development and be driven team member
Has their own transport and UK Driving Licence (this will be an essential pre-requisite)
