Customer Service Advisor

Location: Shrewsbury, SY1 2EL Office Based
Salary: £25,289 per annum
Contract: Full - Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday 8.45am-5.00pm (36.25 hours per week, with an unpaid break of 1 hour for lunch)

The Role:

Our busy Sales Office plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service to our customers, from initial point of contact and placing of orders, through to delivery and aftersales. The department requires individuals who are highly motivated and passionate about customer service.

Reporting to the Sales Office Manager you will process daily sales orders, deal with general enquires, maintain customer records and prepare credit notes, collection notes and customer quotations.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, a confident and friendly telephone manner, and a commitment to deliver customer service excellence.

To be successful in this role you must be able to process orders and other documentation quickly and accurately, effectively communicate with both colleagues and customers, and respond to our customers' needs in an appropriate and timely manner to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Preferred Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications / Experience:

A proven track record in a similar customer services / order processing role.
Must be passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
Must be well-organised with excellent time-management and communication skills (written and verbal).Must be able to create effective and positive working relationships with customers and colleagues alike
Must have a confident, friendly and assertive telephone manner together with good listening skills.
Must be able to work under pressure and at a fast pace to meet daily processing targets.
The ability to problem-solve and investigate errors is essential.
A high degree of data accuracy is essential.
Need to be IT literate and confident using Microsoft Office applications.
Must have GCSE Maths and English grade C or above, or equivalent.
