Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the electrical building services aspects of projects from concept through to completion
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets
- Promote a culture of safety excellence throughout the project lifecycle
- Support the development and implementation of health and safety strategies and procedures
- Support and review detailed electrical designs for HV/LV distribution, lighting, small power, and life safety systems
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
- Monitor project budgets and schedules, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Work closely with the project team to optimise resource allocation and efficiency
- Conduct thorough reviews of electrical designs and deliverables
- Provide technical oversight to ensure high standards are maintained
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks
- Develop and implement effective mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements
- Present technical solutions and recommendations clearly and professionally
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development
- Propose and implement improvements to engineering processes and methodologies
Qualifications/Requirements:
- IOSH / SMSTS
- CSCS
Preferable but not essential:
- ONC/HNC/ NVQ L3/L4 Building Services.
- Project Management or Engineering Degree
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in Electrical building services engineering.
- Strong understanding of codes, standards, and regulations. HTM knowledge would be beneficial.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex engineering projects.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
