Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the electrical building services aspects of projects from concept through to completion
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets
  • Promote a culture of safety excellence throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support the development and implementation of health and safety strategies and procedures
  • Support and review detailed electrical designs for HV/LV distribution, lighting, small power, and life safety systems
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
  • Monitor project budgets and schedules, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Work closely with the project team to optimise resource allocation and efficiency
  • Conduct thorough reviews of electrical designs and deliverables
  • Provide technical oversight to ensure high standards are maintained
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks
  • Develop and implement effective mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements
  • Present technical solutions and recommendations clearly and professionally
  • Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions
  • Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development
  • Propose and implement improvements to engineering processes and methodologies

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • IOSH / SMSTS
  • CSCS

Preferable but not essential:

  • ONC/HNC/ NVQ L3/L4 Building Services.
  • Project Management or Engineering Degree

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in Electrical building services engineering.
  • Strong understanding of codes, standards, and regulations. HTM knowledge would be beneficial.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex engineering projects.
  • Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
