Castlefield are currently partnered with a Local Authority in Shropishire who are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join their team on an interim basis. This is an excellent oppertunity for someone with strong Business Partnering accumen to join a Local Authority and gain experience across Local Government accounts. 

  • Partner with senior management and service leads to develop financial plans aligned with strategic goals
  • Contribute to the development of medium- and long-term financial strategies.
  • Provide financial analysis to support policy development, business cases, and investment decisions
  • Lead on budget setting, monitoring, forecasting, and variance analysis for assigned service areas
  • Challenge budget holders constructively to ensure financial sustainability and effective use of resources
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities, proposing mitigations as required.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties required for the role
