Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)?

At Aspire People, we are actively recruiting for ASD Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated teams across specialist educational settings in Shrewsbury. We are looking for individuals who are committed, compassionate, and ready to make a positive impact in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with ASD and other SEN needs
- Assist with the delivery of tailored education plans to ensure that students make progress in both their academic and personal development
- Support class teachers in creating an inclusive, safe, and positive learning environment
- Help students develop social, emotional, and communication skills through a variety of strategies and approaches
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including SENCOs, speech therapists, and support staff

What We Are Looking For:
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in an SEN or ASD-specific setting
- Understanding of ASD and how it affects learning and behaviour
- Ability to adapt communication and teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students
- A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to supporting children with additional needs
- Experience using Makaton, PECS, or other communication aids is desirable but not essential
- A strong commitment to ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed
