Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Top of the salary range will be offered to an experienced Payroll Manager that has implemented a new system and is involved with Payroll analysis.

We are currently recruiting for a valued Reed client based in Shrewsbury. We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to join the team and put their stamp on payroll processes! This is a brilliant opportunity for a candidate that is looking for a challenge and the autonomy to make positive change whilst being completely supported by management! We are looking for a friendly and approachable character that will stay with the business long term.

Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Manage full employee payroll and operational pension services, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and reconciliation across multiple payrolls.
  • Manage statutory returns, gender pay reporting, and apprenticeship levy submissions.
  • Monitor staffing budgets, report on costs and completing analysis to support toward cost saving
  • Mentor a Payroll Administrator, who is currently studying towards their CIPP.

Ideally, You Will:

  • Have an in-depth knowledge of Payroll, keeping up to date with legislations and a focus on maintaining GDPR and data protection principles.
  • Ideally you will be CIPP Qualified or close to finishing.
  • Have experience in implementing a new payroll system as this will be on the agenda when you’re settled in the role!
  • Be an excellent communicator as you will be liaising with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
