The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Hydrogeologist to join H Fraser Consulting's Contaminated Land & Hydrogeology team. This is a chance to work in a technically excellent, innovative team delivering projects across the UK. You'll play a key role in both project delivery and the strategic development of services, helping shape the future of the business while mentoring junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage hydrogeology projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality outputs and strong client relationships
Develop and interpret conceptual site models, numerical and analytical groundwater models, risk assessments, and large datasets
Provide specialist support on water resources, environmental, land development, contaminated land, and landfill projects
Prepare, review, and communicate technical reports and advice that comply with best practice and legislation
Identify and contribute to business development opportunities within your technical specialism
Mentor junior staff, delegate tasks effectively, and support professional development within the team
Keep abreast of technical innovations and ensure project delivery adds value for clients
Candidate Requirements
Chartered status with GeolSoc, IES, IEMA, CIWEM, or equivalent
BSc/BEng in Hydrogeology or relevant subject; MSc or postgraduate qualification preferred
Proven field experience, including drilling, sampling, groundwater/surface water monitoring, and aquifer testing
Strong experience in common analytical modelling packages (RTM, CLEA, ConSim, RAM); experience with MODFLOW or FEFLOW is a plus
Excellent project, client, and stakeholder management skills
Strong teamwork, mentoring, and leadership abilities
UK Driving Licence required
