This role manages the full end-to-end weekly and monthly payroll process for a busy, fast-paced operation of around 500 employees. You'll ensure accuracy, compliance, and excellent employee service while supporting continuous improvement within the HR/Payroll function.

Description
- Manage end-to-end weekly and monthly payroll for c.500 employees
- Process timesheets, mileage claims, overtime and payroll adjustments
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with legislation
- Process starters, leavers, rate changes, deductions and AOE orders
- Submit RTI, FPS, EPS and ensure timely PAYE payments
- Produce payroll reports and reconcile pension contributions
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, IT and operational managers
- Respond to employee payroll queries with professionalism
- Support year-end activities including P60s and P11Ds
- Contribute to payroll process improvements and projects
Profile
- Extensive end-to-end payroll experience (weekly + monthly)
- Strong experience using SAGE Payroll and SAGE Accounts
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and numerical ability
- Up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines
- Confident communicator with a helpful, approachable manner
- Discreet and trusted to work with sensitive information
- CIPP or AAT payroll qualifications desirable but not essential
