Children Support Worker

Randstad is seeking a passionate and dedicated Children Support Worker to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of children and young people.

This role offers a chance to work in a residential setting, supporting children and young people with autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and care to children and young people with autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs in a residential setting.
  • Develop and implement individual support plans tailored to the needs of each child.
  • Assist with personal care, hygiene, and daily living skills.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of children's progress.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, therapists, and other professionals.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications
  • At least 6 months of paid experience as a support worker in a children's setting in the UK within the last 3 years.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, compassionate, and understanding.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Right to live and work in the UK.
  • Enhanced children/adult DBS on the update service (you can apply for one during registration).
  • Experience working with children with autism and complex needs is advantageous.
