We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Social Worker to join theChildrens placement Service-Fostering, Support and Developmenton an agency basis.

Position Overview
Having a good knowledge and experience working in accordance to Fostering regs, NMS standards. Understanding and able to ensure all compliance for foster parents is updated, recorded on LCS. Communicate and support foster parents with trauma informed understanding and therapeutic principles. To supervise foster carers ensuring all key areas of the role are discussed, recorded and challenged where necessary. To carry a case load of foster parents and complete all tasks in accordance to the role of SSW. To be able to be efficient recording fostering annual reviews and when required to present to panel. To attend team meetings and work as part of the team supporting others where necessary. To be part of a duty rota, supporting foster carers, completing viability assessments when required. Twice per month.

Qualifications

  • BA Honors or Masters Degree in Social Work
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Full UK drivers license and access to vehicle
  • At least three years of post-qualifying experience employed directly within an LA children's service in England
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Empathetic, patient-centered approach with a dedication to providing high-quality care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
