We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and forward-thinking Specialist Academy in Shropshire. The setting caters for pupils with a diverse range of learning difficulties and disabilities, providing a nurturing environment where every child is given the opportunity to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead one to one and small group support to pupils with a range of learning needs
- Assist the class teacher with the planning and delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons
- Build strong relationships with your team and pupils to create a safe ad positive learning environment
- Promote positive behaviour and help pupils to develop social and emotional skills
- Work closely with other staff members, therapists, and families to ensure each pupil's needs are met
- Support with personal care, if required
The Ideal Candidate Will Be:
- Enthusiastic, committed, and passionate about supporting children with SEND
- Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to the individual needs of pupils
- A team player with excellent communication skills
- Experienced or interested in working within a SEN setting (experience desirable but not essential)
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday during term time only, offering the opportunity to work as part of a dedicated team in a highly rewarding environment.
