If so, we want to hear from you!Tradewind Recruitment are in partnership with a special needs school in Shropshire who are seeking an experienced Teacher who is able to deliver tutoring to small groups, and on a 1-1 basis, for established children's homes in Shropshire (working with students at a residential home in the mornings and a return to school in the afternoons). You be supporting a number of vulnerable young children aged 8-18 years with SEMH and complex needs.The roleWe are looking for an outstanding, committed and motivated qualified practitioner to contribute to the development of teaching and learning within the homes and schools.Pupils can access a range of qualifications including Entry Level, Functional Skills, or GCSEs dependent on their current attainment level and aspirations. This will be an exciting opportunity for a committed classroom practitioner who can display a real passion for inspiring and challenging the pupils.A flexible approach with a can-do ethos is essential, as is drive, enthusiasm and sense of humour. If you are adaptable, innovative and child focused then we want to hear from you. What we need from you:Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or Level 3 Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS). Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or Level 3 Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS)Qualified Teacher status (essential), or close to gaining qualificationProven experience in the specialist education sector, specifically for young people with SEMHSolid experience of working with young people that challengeExperience and knowledge of vocational educational pathways and subjectsPrevious experience in one to one and/or small group tutoringKnowledge of results-based accountability in care and education environmentsAbility to plan, evaluate and monitor learning and progressAbility to differentiate all aspects of learning to promote inclusion and attainmentAbility to build good relationships with young people and all others supporting the pupilHighly organised and have the ability to prioritise and use their time effectivelyResilience, stamina, flexibility and excellent inter-personal skillsA positive attitude to hard work and challenging situationsA full, UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle A good sense of humour!To be considered for this role or to gain further information please get in touch with Zeena on or email
