Procurement & Materials Manager - The Role:
- Lead and develop the Purchasing and Materials teams to achieve departmental and company targets.
- Oversee purchase order approvals and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Manage supplier relationships, pricing agreements, contracts, and call-off orders.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Implement stock analysis and control measures to optimise inventory levels.
- Plan and coordinate materials requirements to support production schedules.
- Lead company-wide stock takes and report results to senior management.
- Set and maintain high standards and procedures across the procurement and materials functions.
Procurement & Materials Manager - The Person:
- Proven experience in a senior procurement or materials management role, ideally within an OEM or manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Excellent negotiation and analytical capabilities.
- Commercially astute with a results-driven mindset.
- Detail-oriented with a disciplined approach to materials control and planning.
- Flexible, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
Located in Shropshire, this role would be commutable from Shrewsbury, Telford, Wolverhampton, Bridgnorth, Stafford and surrounding areas.
