We are working with an established manufacturing company in the Sittingbourne area who are looking to resource for an Accounts Assistant on a part-time basis for maternity cover, up to February 2026. Working 15 hours per week, ideally over 2-3 days, but there is flexibility for the successful candidates. The hourly rate is £12.50.

The role:

  • Manage the Purchase Ledger and prepare supplier payments
  • Post bank transactions
  • Ensure all remittance advices are emailed to suppliers
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Liaise with other departments and suppliers to resolve queries

About you:

  • Experience of working in a Finance department
  • Ability to complete purchase ledger functions including posting invoices/bank recs
  • IT literate including MS Office, ideally Sage (not essential)
  • Proven ability to thrive and excel in a fast-paced dynamic environment with high performance expectations
  • Ability to learn quickly and be willing to take instruction whilst acting autonomously
  • Integrity to handle sensitive and confidential data
  • Numeracy and accuracy, with excellent attention to detail
  • Maintain excellent professional relationships with clients and suppliers
