Job Role: CAD Technician
Area: Sittingbourne
Salary: £30k - £40k
My client is looking for an CAD Technician to join their team covering varies site in Kent & Surrey. This will be covering MOD, Education, Healthcare, & Commercial work.
As the CAD Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the design and delivery of diverse construction projects. Working closely with engineers, architects, and site teams, you'll produce and amend detailed technical drawings, layouts, and schematics, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Produce, update, and amend CAD drawings for construction and fit-out projects.
- Interpret architectural and engineering designs, ensuring accurate technical output.
- Work across multiple sectors including commercial offices, hospitals, schools, and secure MOD facilities.
- Liaise with project managers, designers, and site teams to coordinate technical details.
- Conduct site visits to gather measurements, verify existing conditions, and support surveys.
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant regulations, standards, and client specifications.
- Maintain drawing registers and issue drawings as required.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Experience as a CAD Technician within the construction or building services sector
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit or other 3D/BIM software a bonus)
- Able to read and understand architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- Comfortable working across a variety of project types and environments
