Job Summary for Electrical Design Engineer
You will develop and design electrical systems for various high rise residential schemes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Typically taking stage 3 and 4 designs to an installed stage 5+. This is an office-based position working Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm.
Key Responsibilities for Electrical Design Engineer
- Producing design packages, including cable calculations, schematics, layouts, and specifications for electrical systems such as lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and security systems.
- Coordinating design into drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical designs with other building services.
- Provide electrical technical support and guidance to other team members.
- Participate in project meetings where necessary and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other team members.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve design processes.
Requirements for Electrical Design Engineer
- Proven experience in electrical design engineering, within the building services sector.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of electrical design principles, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
