Technical Officer - Food Safety
Full Time | Temporary
Start Date: Immediate

Are you passionate about food safety and quality? Do you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoy working cross-functionally to drive standards and compliance?

We're looking for a Temporary Technical Officer to join our clients dedicated Technical team and help uphold our exceptional food safety and quality standards. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring compliance across our supply chain, supporting audits, and collaborating with multiple departments to deliver safe, high-quality food products.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain and monitor supplier and raw material approval systems
  • Assist with supplier audits and manage associated documentation
  • Support and participate in internal audits (BRC, GMP, CCP, Hygiene)
  • Complete and review product specifications and quality standards
  • Conduct horizon scanning and monitor supply chain risks
  • Manage traceability schedules and prepare customer documentation
  • Support the Technical Manager during audits and customer visits
  • Work closely with teams like New Product Development and Purchasing

What We're Looking For:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in Food Science or a related field
  • 5+ years' experience in food manufacturing or fresh produce processing
  • Solid understanding of BRC, HACCP, and relevant food safety legislation
  • Strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Experience with technical specifications and audit support

You will be working 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday with an immediate start.
