We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse environment, including the use of a wall saw, chop-saw, handling and reviewing of stock. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting. This job includes lifting material and the person will be on their feet all day.
Duties
- Operate warehouse machines including rivet machine, wall saw and chop saw.
- Perform shipping and receiving duties, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Engage in materials handling tasks such as picking, packing, loading, and unloading goods.
- Utilise forklifts and other equipment safely to move heavy items throughout the warehouse.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Strong skills in materials handling, including heavy lifting capabilities.
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes is beneficial.
- Proficiency in picking and packing procedures to ensure accurate order fulfilment.
- Valid forklift certification is desirable; training may be provided for the right candidate.
- A proactive attitude towards safety and adherence to health regulations within the workplace.
