Are you a graduate/aspiring Engineer looking to develop your skills in a hands-on role with excellent training, opportunities for progression, and long-term job security?
This is a unique opportunity to join a busy facility supporting the recycling of electrical items, working alongside experienced fitters and engineers to carry out varied maintenance, repair, and fabrication tasks. You will benefit from strong in-house training, skill development, and a supportive team environment.

In this 4 on 4 off days and nights role, you will be responsible for assisting with machinery maintenance and repairs, welding and fabrication, and supporting breakdown responses to keep operations running smoothly. You will also gain hands-on experience with a wide range of engineering tasks, with opportunities to progress into senior fitter positions.
This role would suit a mechanically minded candidate with basic engineering or fitting experience, looking to build a long-term career with training, progression, and overtime opportunities.
The Role:
- Assisting with machinery maintenance, welding, and emergency repairs
- Supporting breakdowns and ensuring production efficiency
- 4-on, 4-off shift pattern (days and nights)
The Person:
- Graduate, Basic engineering or fitting skills (welding and mechanical desirable)
- Hands-on and keen to learn new skills through training
- Interested in long-term progression into senior fitter roles
- Commutable to Sittingbourne
