A leading UK-based service provider in the food manufacturing sector is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team. With multiple large-scale sites and continued investment in technology and infrastructure, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced operation.
About the Role
Reporting to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager, you’ll be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of a range of production and packaging machinery, building systems, and site equipment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance, efficiency, and minimal downtime across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative maintenance and condition monitoring to minimise breakdowns
- Respond to and resolve equipment faults with minimal disruption
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, and complete all necessary documentation
- Perform statutory inspections and liaise with external contractors and insurers as required
- Maintain and update the asset register and service logs
- Monitor and improve equipment performance using KPIs
- Support the training of production teams on safe machinery use and care
- Carry out general building maintenance and support site infrastructure as needed

What We’re Looking For
- Relevant mechanical qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent)
- 17th Edition Electrical Qualification (or later)
- Proven experience in engineering/maintenance rolesÂ
- Confident with troubleshooting electro-mechanical machinery
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety standards, COSHH, and CDM regulations
- Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces
- Skilled in the use of basic power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Full UK driving licence
