Job Title:Industrial Maintenance Team Leader

Location:ME10
Reports To:Maintenance Manager / Operations Manager

HOURS :07.00 - 17.00

DAYS : Monday to Friday ( overtime weekend at enhanced rate )

Overview:We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Industrial Maintenance Team Leader to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company procedures. You will work in a dynamic environment, managing site operations, ensuring the proper maintenance of equipment, and leading a team of maintenance staff.

Requirements:

Proven experience in industrial maintenance

Strong leadership and team management skills

Proficient in Excel and general administrative duties

Ability to use computer systems for administrative tasks

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Supervision:
  • Lead and coordinate a team of maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Monitor team performance and provide guidance, training, and development to ensure ongoing competence and career progression.
  • Ensure all staff are equipped with the correct PPE and tools to carry out their duties safely.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and ensure effective communication within the team.
  • Site Management:
  • Ensure sorting and clear segregation of materials on site, in accordance with operational requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy site in accordance with a fixed schedule, following all safety and cleanliness guidelines.
  • Perform litter picking duties around the site and buildings as instructed by the Manager or customer.
  • Assist with the general operation of the site as needed, ensuring smooth operations across all areas.
  • Maintenance Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the preventive and reactive maintenance of all equipment within the waste yard.
  • Ensure all equipment is operated safely and competently by the team, performing regular checks and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Participate in audits and inspections as required by customers, providing feedback and recommendations for improvements.
  • Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
  • Ensure adherence to all company Health & Safety policies, including the proper use of PPE, and conduct regular safety briefings and training for the team.
  • Be responsible for reporting any health, safety, or environmental concerns to management promptly.
  • Operational Efficiency:
  • Ensure that all tasks are completed to the standard set by the customer, achieving maximum efficiency without compromising on safety or quality.
  • Coordinate with the team to ensure timely completion of all work duties.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as required in line with the role and industry needs.
  • Policy and Procedure Adherence:
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to those outlined in the Employee Handbook, H&S Policy, EMS System, IMS System, and financial systems.
  • Ensure the team is aware of and follows all company guidelines and procedures.

  • Physical Stamina:You are capable of performing physically demanding tasks and can work in challenging environments.
  • Reliability and Punctuality:You can be counted on to show up on time and deliver reliable results, even under pressure.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance, including supervisory or team leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety standards and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • A proactive attitude with a strong focus on operational efficiency and continuous improvement. Manual driving licence required .

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Relevant health and safety certifications.
  • Experience in the waste management or industrial maintenance sectors.
  • Any additional certifications related to industrial equipment or machinery maintenance.
