Working closely with the Senior Designer and Design Director, this is a fantastic opportunity for an Interior Designer to join my Homewares client.

Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Interior Designer with a passion for home interiors and spatial design to join our design team. This new role involves developing and presenting compelling interior design concepts that showcase our furniture collections, enhance customer experiences, and reflect current trends in lifestyle and design, with a unique opportunity to create and mould this exciting new area of the department with the Senior Designer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients, sales teams, and product developers to understand project needs and deliver customized interior solutions featuring our furniture products.
  • Design and plan interior spaces using CAD software
  • Curate furniture, fabrics, colours, lighting, and accessories to match aesthetic and functional requirements.
  • Create mood boards, and presentations to communicate design concepts effectively.
  • Stay up to date on furniture trends, material innovations, and design styles to inspire new concepts.
  • Help with showroom design and layout planning to optimize customer flow and highlight key products at our showroom.
  • Oversee installation and styling of spaces for clients, photo shoots, and events.
  • Be involved with the other areas of design, including assisting photographers with styling on location.
  • Travel when needed across the UK, with overnight stays where required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, or related field.
  • Proficiency in design software such as SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong visual storytelling, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of materials, finishes, furniture construction
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Client-facing experience and the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
