We’re working with an award-winning legal practice that’s expanding its family law team and is seeking a dedicated lawyer/solicitor to join one of their busy offices in Kent.This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a varied and interesting caseload within a supportive and forward-thinking environment. The firm is well-regarded for its client care, community involvement, and commitment to continuous development.The RoleYou’ll manage a broad caseload of family law matters, including:
  • Divorce, separation, and financial remedy cases
  • Private and public children law matters
  • Domestic abuse and injunction applications
  • TOLATA claims
  • Drafting Cohabitation and Prenuptial Agreements
  • Attending court hearings and representing clients where appropriate
  • Supporting colleagues across offices during leave periods
  • Actively contributing to the department’s growth and business development
You’ll also be responsible for effective financial management of your caseload, ensuring timely billing and the collection of fees.The Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ PQE (guideline only – all levels of experience considered)
  • Proven experience across the full range of family law matters
  • Able to manage your own caseload with minimal supervision
  • Commercially aware with strong billing discipline
  • Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
  • IT proficient, with experience using case management systems
  • Willingness to support occasional overtime, including weekends, where necessary
  • Motivated, collaborative, and adaptable to business needs
