We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading service provider to the fresh produce sector, for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to oversee safety across three busy operational sites in Mid Kent, including Sittingbourne.

Your Role:
- Lead and manage the company-wide Safety Management System (SMS)
- Maintain and develop health and safety policies, ensuring full compliance with legislation
- Advise operational and senior teams on health and safety strategy and implementation
- Investigate incidents and accidents, ensuring RIDDOR compliance and promoting lessons learned
- Oversee and audit contractor and supplier safety standards
- Manage and develop a small team, conducting regular performance reviews
- Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement in safety performance
- Foster a proactive "Safety First and Always" culture across all sites
About You:
- NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) is essential
- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager within a fast-paced environment, ideally within food, FMCG, or produce sectors
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Confident IT user (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of PUWER assessments and compliance
- Excellent communicator with a solutions-focused mindset
