Are you a qualified teacher looking for a new challenge?

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and committed teacher to join our outstanding Special School in January 2025.

The successful candidate will be an exceptional qualified teacher with excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge and experience of teaching English and Maths and a passion for working with children and young adults with SEND.

Candidates must be able to use their own initiative and be committed to working as part of an established and highly motivated team to provide stimulating and interesting learning opportunities for pupils with a range of profound, severe and complex learning needs.

Applications are welcome from teachers who may already be working in a Special School and from those currently working in a mainstream Secondary School with SEN experience/training.

The post offers exciting professional development opportunities for candidates seeking to develop their career within a supportive and experienced team.

The school serves 400 pupils with profound, severe and complex needs, including autism.

The MIDAS Centre is home to our highly regarded Specialist Teaching and Learning Service (STLS) who successfully support 58 schools and 73 early years settings across Swale, increasing capacity to meet the needs of pupils with additional needs. In addition, STLS offer a rich programme of training to mainstream colleagues and to parents.

They are a founding member of the Kent Special Educational Needs Trust (KSENT), a collaborative group of special schools in Kent who work together to promote best SEND practice throughout the county.

They have approximately 270 members of staff including Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Office and Admin Staff, Site Staff, ICT Department, Wellbeing Team, Finance and Business Services as well as our Leadership and Management Team. Should you wish to learn more about this amazing school, we warmly invite you to contact us to arrange an interview.
