We are seeking an enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher, with a specialism in Food Technology, to join our progressive secondary school in Medway. This permanent position is set to start in September and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to inspire and educate students in both design principles and culinary arts.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and educational lessons in Design and Technology, with a focus on Food Technology.
  • Foster a creative learning environment where students can develop practical skills and theoretical knowledge in design and culinary arts.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workshop and kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate new technologies and methods into the curriculum.
  • Participate in and contribute to school events, exhibitions, and other extracurricular activities.
