SEN Teaching Assistant - Sittingbourne
About the Role
Simply Education is looking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Sittingbourne and the surrounding areas. We have a range of opportunities available - from day-to-day supply and long-term placements to permanent positions directly with local schools. Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language difficulties.
- Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to adapt learning materials and strategies.
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to help pupils engage with lessons.
- Assist in managing behaviour and promoting positive emotional wellbeing.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
What We're Looking For
- A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN support.
- Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A valid DBS check (we can support you in obtaining one if needed).
