Join a market leading food manufacturing company operating in a modern, high-tech production facility in Skelmersdale in a Days based role ! We're seeking Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to support a growing engineering team. If you have strong electrical or mechanical skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, but may be not on full shifts this role could be a great fit for you and offers real career progression opportunity.

Hours:

  • Total 42 hours across 3.5 days per week
  • 3 x 12 hour Day shift (06:00 – 18:00) aligned with site engineering shutdowns + additional 6 hours alternating Wednesday and Friday each week 07:00 – 13:00.

Key responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer:

  • Deliver hands-on engineering support to keep production running smoothly
  • Perform both reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment
  • Keep maintenance records up to date using our CMMS system
  • Work closely with production to meet daily performance goals
  • Follow safety and repair best practices at all times
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives

Quals / Experience required of Maintenance Engineer:

  • Time-served/apprenticeship-trained engineer
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (C&G/NVQ Level 3 or ONC/HNC preferred)
  • Strong mechanical or electrical skillset
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Positive, proactive mindset and a team player
