Are you a Level 2 Qualified Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician? If so, we'd like to hear from you as our client, a leading test and inspection company, are seeking an experienced technician to join their dynamic and established team at their Dorset site.

The Role

As an NDT Technician, you’ll:

  • Carry out Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections on a wide range of components — from castings and weldments to composites and machined parts. Your work will ensure full compliance with customer requirements and strict quality standards.
  • Perform NDT inspections using Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiography, Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), and Penetrant Testing (DPI).
  • Conduct Fluorescent Penetrant Inspections across various components.
  • Support daily operations — from booking jobs and generating certificates to handling goods in and out.
  • Maintain consumables and equipment with control checks to ensure testing integrity.
  • Keep your workspace clean, organized, and HSEQ-compliant.
  • Support team training to help colleagues achieve further NDT Level 2 qualifications.

 

The Person

The be considered for the role prospective candidates need to hold Level 2 EN4179 Ultrasonic Inspection certification or equivalent, such as PCN Aero Level 2. 

You will also ideally have experience with static MPI benches and penetrant lines and previous experience in a test house or similar environment would be highly advantageous.

Knowledge of additional NDT methods for also prove beneficial, as would a valid forklift licence and PCN Level 2 General certification.
