Bank recs. Ledgers. Credit control. People skills. You got this?
Some job adverts waffle on about "dynamic environments" and "fast-paced cultures". This isn't one of them.
We're helping a well-established business in Skipton hire an Accounts Assistant. They're not looking for someone to reinvent the wheel. They just want someone who can keep it turning.
You'll be the one keeping the numbers clean and the processes ticking:
- Bank reconciliations that actually reconcile
- Purchase and sales ledger work that doesn't need cleaning up after
- Credit control with a bit of backbone
- Supplier statement recs that don't need three rounds of explanation
If you've done all this before, you'll know what's expected. If not, this probably isn't for you.
You'll need to be organised, accurate, and able to pick up the phone without breaking into a sweat. Communication skills are key - we're not looking for a stand-up comic, but someone who can talk to suppliers, customers, and colleagues like a human being.
There's support, there's structure, and there's a manager who'll actually leave you to get on with things once you prove you can.
If you're local, switched on, and want a role that values competence over corporate jargon, hit apply.
We'll take it from there.
