Join a dynamic, design-led architectural practice located in the picturesque village of Gargrave, North Yorkshire. We specialise in a diverse range of residential projects with a strong emphasis on sustainability and quality design. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Architectural Technician/Technologist to enhance our team.
Day-to-day of the role:- Assist in the preparation and development of detailed technical drawings and specifications for construction projects.
- Collaborate with architects and other team members to ensure designs are technically feasible and meet regulatory standards.
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather essential information for project development.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Utilise CAD software and other relevant tools to produce accurate and high-quality technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations and standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance throughout the construction process.
- Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within an architectural practice.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools.
- Competent in Microsoft Office.
- Skilled in writing NBS specifications and technical detailing.
- Strong understanding of building regulations and British Standards.
- Knowledge of UK planning legislation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Professional registration with Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists.
- Living within commuting distance of Gargrave.
