Our client is a small specialist niche Engineering design and build contractor who deliver projects for both municipal and industrial clean water, and wastewater treatment. They specialise in the Mechanical & Electrical products and services for water clients throughout the UK. Due to continuous growth and project awards, they are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor.

You will be joining a small commercial team where you will report to the Senior Quantity Surveyor. You will be working on a flexible hybrid basis with requirement to travel into their head office in Skipton 2 -3 days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Subcontract and Supply Agreements, including negotiation of specific terms and conditions.
  • Management of Subcontract accounts, preparation of Payment Certificates and management of Subcontractor claims and variations.
  • Preparation and submission of Payment Applications.
  • Working with Project Managers in the recognition, preparation and submission of Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
  • Assistance with the procurement process in the preparation of Purchase Requisitions and Quotation Comparisons as required.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management preferred but not essential.
  • Practical application of the NEC form of contract is desired but not essential.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Previous construction, utilities, civil engineering backgrounds preferred.
