We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Community Worker to join our team in Skipton and the surrounding areas. As a Community Worker, you will play a vital role in providing day-to-day and social support to individuals, helping them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing practical support with daily tasks such as meal preparation, shopping, and light housework.

  • Offering companionship and emotional support to individuals, promoting their social and emotional well-being.

  • Assisting with personal care tasks, such as bathing and dressing, while maintaining dignity and respect.

  • Accompanying individuals on social outings and appointments, ensuring they remain connected to their community.

  • Monitoring individuals' well-being and reporting any concerns to the appropriate channels.

  • Maintaining accurate records of support provided.

Requirements:

  • A valid driving license and access to a car are essential, as you will be required to travel between client's homes. Mileage will be paid for travel between clients homes.

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

  • A caring and compassionate nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends.
