Day-to-day of the role:- Engage with a variety of children and young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support.
- Create positive relationships with children, meeting their needs and safeguarding them at all times.
- Teach life skills to help children build self-esteem and accept themselves, aiding their journey into adulthood.
- Lead shifts and supervise staff, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
- Manage rotas and ensure that placement plans are followed and education is supported.
- Provide guidance and support to all residential workers and ensure the welfare and care of each child.
- Must be 22 years of age or above (to meet Ofsted regulations).
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children's and Young People Workforce.
- At least 2 years of experience within residential childcare and working alongside young people.
- Valid manual driving license.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- £50 per sleep-in.
- "Passport to Manage" training for Level 5 qualification, facilitating clear management progression.
- Performance-related bonuses: £100 for a 'Good' Ofsted outcome and £200 for 'Outstanding'.
- Service awards: £200 for 2 years, £400 for 5 years, and £600 for 10 years of service, plus up to £500 special recognition award for outstanding practice.
- 224 hours holiday, increasing to 248 hours after 4 years.
