JMC Aviation are working with an Engine Maintenance Repair Organisation based in Slough, looking to recruit a new Mechanic to join their team.

Due to continued expansion, an opportunity has arisen for a Mechanic to join the team, supporting the company as they continue to provide both on and off site services, leading the market with their unrivalled specialist engine handling equipment. Holding both EASA and FAA approvals, the company continue to pride themselves on quality, flexibility and professionalism.

The Role:
This role would suit an Aircraft Mechanic looking for a workshop-based role, covering routine maintenance/inspection/service bulletins on CFM56 and LEAP Series Aircraft Engines.

Other duties involve:

  • Performing supplementary shop and housekeeping duties as required
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures as required
  • Follow technical drawings/procedures as needed
  • Keeping relevant records updated.

In order to be successful in this role the Mechanicwill need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • A recognised apprenticeship within the aircraft industry
  • Previous post apprenticeship experience gained working in an engine shop or aircraft MRO
  • Experience performing maintenance on the following engine types would be advantageous: CFM, LEAP, V2500
  • Competency to follow appropriate Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Engine Shop Manual procedures
  • Demonstrate required knowledge of Quality Procedures, as well as EASA/FAA Part 145 requirements and procedures
  • A sound computer literacy with a basic understanding of the Microsoft Office applications
  • Availability to work flexibly, i.e. weekends and holidays if required
  • Right to live and work in the UK
