CLASS 2 DRIVER

MONDAY TO FRIDAY: START TIMES 05:00 - 06:00

40 HRS PER WEEK

SALARY: £31,498.24 PER ANNUM

THIS IS A PERMANENT ROLE

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Slough.

Rates of Pay

Basic: £31.498.24 per year
Bonus : £4,050 per year

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 2 Driver will involve but not be limited to:

Delivery of water containers to businesses in the area (working on curtain-side) - some handball required
Operate and drive various Class 2 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed

Essential Skills

As a Class 2 Driver you will need to:

Hold a valid UK Category C Licence
Have a minimum of six months experience driving Category C vehicles
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
Have a valid CPC Card and Digi Card
Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
Previous experience conducting multi drop deliveries will be beneficial

Training

Training provided throughout first week on the job
