Our client, a renowned consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team on a contract basis, based in Slough. This pivotal role involves working on both wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects within the Thames, Southern, and Affinity areas.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects
  • Designing, planning, and overseeing the construction of wastewater systems
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies
  • Providing technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians
  • Analysing project requirements and ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Preparing detailed project reports and documentation
  • Conducting site inspections and assessments as needed
  • Ensuring health and safety protocols are adhered to on all project sites


Job Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in civil engineering, specifically within the water sector
  • Strong knowledge of wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects
  • Proficiency in engineering design and project management software
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartered status is desirable
