Are you a qualified Electrical professional passionate about developing the next generation of apprentices?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated and forward-thinking team as a Technical Skills Coach within the Electrical Apprenticeship Programme. In this site-based role, you'll work closely with apprentices and employers, providing expert coaching, mentoring, and support to ensure successful progression to End Point Assessment.

As part of a supportive college community, you'll play a key role in shaping learners' technical and professional development - helping them build the confidence, competence, and skills they need for a successful career in the electrical industry.

The Role


  • Manage a caseload of Electrical Apprentices, conducting on-site visits and formative assessments

  • Provide tailored coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback to drive learner progress

  • Conduct regular progress reviews with apprentices and employers every 10-12 weeks

  • Support apprentices in meeting off-the-job training requirements and track progress effectively

  • Utilise e-portfolio and management systems to maintain accurate learner records

  • Liaise with employers, EPAOs, and the central apprenticeship team to ensure high-quality delivery


The Person


  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation (e.g. 2346, 2357, 5357) or equivalent

  • 18th Edition and AM2/AM2S qualification

  • Assessor Award (A1/CAVA) or willingness to achieve

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Experience supporting apprentices or learners within an education or industry setting

  • Confident using Microsoft Office and digital assessment tools

  • Passionate about developing others and promoting excellence in electrical training
