Job Title: Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk / Supervisor (Temporary)

Reports To: Finance Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk / Supervisor to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the purchase ledger function, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. This role also involves supervising a team of purchase ledger clerks, fostering a positive and motivating work environment, and ensuring the team's well-being and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Leadership: Lead and supervise the purchase ledger team, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Invoice Processing: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Supplier Relations: Maintain and develop strong relationships with suppliers, resolving any queries or discrepancies promptly and professionally.
  • Team Motivation: Create a positive and motivating work environment, encouraging teamwork, collaboration, and a sense of achievement.
  • Safety and Well-being: Ensure the team operates in a safe and healthy environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on purchase ledger activities, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
