Role Purpose:
The Assistant SEND Officer will assist in managing the provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the SENCO in leading SEND provision.
- Develop resources and provide guidance for teaching SEND pupils.
- Lead and monitor intervention programmes.
- Maintain documentation and liaise with external agencies.
- Analyse assessment data and implement interventions.
Requirements:
- Experience working with SEND students in a secondary school setting.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Knowledge of current SEND legislation and best practices.
