Our client are a well established Heathrow freight forwarding agent who have an exciting new role available based out of their Slough Contract Logistics Centre for a Junior Administrator working in the Cross Border Department. The successful candidate will have good comms/customer service ability, IT skills (Word/Excel), good numeracy and excellent verbal/written English together with a 5 year steady employment/education record/clear DBS check.

Reporting to and partnering with Cross Border Manager and the team, you will support an international department to ensure robust customer services is achieved in line with the strategic direction of the department

Employment Terms for the Junior Administrator

  • Reports to Cross Border Manager
  • Location: Slough
  • Full Time / Part Time: Full Time
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Department: Contract Logistics
  • Salary: £25k Neg
  • Hours: 09h00am-5.30pm with some weekend work on rotation (paid)

RESPONSIBILITIES for the Junior Administrator

  • Invoicing administration
  • Adding in wips and accruals onto files at time of departure of shipments
  • Responsible for duty invoicing for clients shipments
  • Sending invoices to clients after invoicing with supporting documentation
  • Monitoring creditors accruals for timeous input and accuracy
  • Keeping all client rates up to date and in order
  • Ensuring that invoicing is done in line with KPI
  • Administration regarding tracking of shipments
  • Booking of courier shipments when required
  • Creation and completion of tracking sheets where required
  • Creation of CMR documentation where required

Experience/ Technical Abilities for the Junior Administrator:

  • Experience working with or in the logistics sector, desirable but not essential
  • Competent in MS Office
  • Experience in working in accounts department
  • Understanding of account procedures for debits and credits
  • Excellent communication in English (verbal and written)
