Our client is a leading provider of end-to-end logistics solutions based in Slough, known for delivering tailored supply chain services to a diverse portfolio of customers. With a strong reputation for reliability, they are now seeking a Stock Controller to support their warehouse operations and ensure optimal inventory accuracy.

Description

As a Stock Controller, you will play a key role in managing stock levels and driving efficiency within the warehouse operation. Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and maintaining accurate stock levels across multiple product lines.
  • Stock Counting & Inventory Management: Conduct regular stock counts to maintain accurate inventory records. This includes physical counting, data entry, and stock reconciliation.
  • Conducting regular stock counts, reconciliations, and investigations into discrepancies.
  • Working closely with Warehouse and Operations teams to ensure smooth inbound and outbound processes.
  • Supporting the implementation of stock control processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Liaising with internal teams and external partners to resolve stock-related issues quickly and effectively
  • Route Planning: Plan and optimize travel routes to ensure periodic stock checks are completed efficiently across different locations.

Profile

The successful Stock Controller candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in a Stock Control or Inventory Management role, ideally within logistics, warehousing, or supply chain.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Route Planning Experience: Previous experience in planning travel routes and scheduling activities.
  • Data Management Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data management systems.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to working across teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
