Due to continued growth and operational investment, they are looking to recruit an experienced Transport Manager to lead their team.
Description
The Transport Manager will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the transport function. You will be responsible for managing a high-performing team of drivers, planners, and supervisors in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading the daily transport operation, ensuring deliveries are made on time and in full to customers

Managing driver performance, including tachograph analysis, training, and compliance

Delivering against KPIs around cost, service, and safety

Working closely with planning and warehouse teams to ensure seamless coordination

Ensuring full compliance with all relevant transport legislation, including Operator's Licence responsibilities

Driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimise route planning and fuel efficiency

Leading and developing a team culture that promotes accountability, safety, and excellent customer service
Profile
The successful Transport Manager candidate will come with the following qualities:

Proven experience in a Transport Manager or similar leadership role within logistics or distribution

Strong operational experience leading a large transport operation

A track record of managing large fleets and multi-drop delivery operations, ideally FMCG
-
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset

CPC (National or International) is essential
