What You Will Do:

  • Support project leaders by taking responsibility for MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) elements across multiple projects, ensuring alignment from initial concepts through to final handover.
  • Lead the engineering solutions from an MEP perspective, collaborating with architects, vendors, and other parties to create comprehensive design reports.
  • Play a pivotal role in detailed design and procurement, liaising closely with clients, vendors, and sub-contractors to refine project details and ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Provide essential support during construction, managing design queries and changes, to ensure projects meet all specifications and standards.
  • Assist in handover processes, including CDM Compliance audits, inspections, and the approval of maintenance management information.
  • Act as an advocate for quality, managing RFI requests, and supporting the project risk management in terms of cost, time, and quality.

What You Will Bring:

  • A relevant postgraduate degree in engineering, maths, or science, coupled with 3-5 years of directly relevant experience.
  • Progress towards full Membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g., IChemE, ICE, IMechE, APM).
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D drafting software and all standard MS programs, with a strong understanding of basic project management principles.
  • The ability to travel throughout the UK, supported by a full driving licence, to attend sites as required.
  • A proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple contractors and facilitate stakeholder discussions effectively.
