Job Description:
- Deliver engaging, play-based and structured lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that supports early literacy, numeracy, and social development
- Use continuous assessment to track progress and tailor learning to individual needs
- Support phonics development through systematic programmes such as Read Write Inc. or Letters and Sounds
- Work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and colleagues to ensure every child thrives
- Contribute to whole-school events, assemblies, and enrichment activities
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1 (desirable but not essential)
- Be passionate about early childhood education and child development
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and differentiation strategies
- Be committed to raising standards and nurturing a love of learning
- Embrace a growth mindset and value ongoing CPD
- Be confident using interactive learning tools and technology in the classroom
