Our client, a leading player in the infrastructure and telecommunications sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile Civils and Rail projects, contributing to the successful delivery of complex contracts across the UK.

Key Responsibilities of a Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Implement commercial reporting systems to maximise contract profitability.
  • Oversee cost analysis and estimation aligned with agreed Schedules of Rates.
  • Prepare and review Activity Schedules, Resource Schedules, and tender documents.
  • Monitor subcontractor activities and manage commercial aspects with stakeholders.
  • Analyse commercial progress and prepare internal financial reports.
  • Lead procurement processes and manage subcontractor negotiations.
  • Prepare and agree on final accounts and interim valuations.
  • Mentor junior commercial staff and support their development.
  • Chair site and client progress meetings and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts.

Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Promote and enforce company safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure safe, quality, and timely delivery of all contract programmes.
  • Drive a "Right First Time" culture and regulatory compliance.
  • Foster strong client relationships and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record in managing complex bids and multiple projects.
  • Strong understanding of pricing, cost control, and NEC3 contracts.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and decision-making skills.
