English Teacher - Slough

A brand new specialist school in Slough are looking for a dedicated English teacher to join their new team starting in September 2025!

They are committed to providing their students with a nurturing and inclusive environment for their students. They cater for students between Year 7 and Year 10. These students struggle with moderate to significant learning needs and learning disabilities. They need additional support in ensuring that they are able to access their education in the best way possible!

They are looking for an English Teacher to inspire and create a warm and safe environment for their students. The successful English Teacher will also support learners with a range of additional needs, delivering engaging and differentiated English lessons across years 7 to 10.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver inclusive English lessons that have been tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Use creative strategies to engage learners and build confidence in their literacy skills
  • Work collaboratively with the SEN team, therapists and support staff
  • Monitor students progress and contribute to their EHCP's
  • Review individual learning plans
  • Foster a safe and stimulating classroom environment

The successful English Teacher:

  • Will hold QTS
  • Experience teaching English, preferably in an SEN setting - mainstream teachers are also welcome!
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A commitment to student well being
