Science Teacher - Slough
We are looking for a science teacher to join us for a September start in a brand new specialist school in Slough.
This school are looking for an experienced science teacher, who is well versed in supporting students with learning difficulties, or a science teacher from a mainstream background who is keen to try something new!
This school support students in years 7 to year 10. The students who attend this school struggle with moderate to significant learning disabilities and difficulties and other barriers to their learning. They are seeking a passionate and committed science teacher to work at delivering engaging and accessible science lessons that will spark curiosity, build confidence and nurture lifelong skills.
The role as Science Teacher:
- You will teache science lessons across years 7 to 10 and adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs and learning profiles.
- Plan creative, hands on learning experiences that will promote understanding and enthusiasm for science
- Youw ill work closely with support staff and the wider multi-disciplinary team to create inclusive, personalised journeys
- Contribute to the assessment, monitoring and reporting of student progress
The successful Science Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status - QTS
- Experience teaching science at a secondary level
- Experience teaching in a specialist school - Teachers from a mainstream environment are welcome to apply!
- A strong focus on well being and support
- A commitment to facilitating a safe and nurturing environment for all students
