Are you a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker? We’re working with a specialist primary school in Slough that provides a nurturing, therapeutic setting for children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is a setting where staff build strong, consistent relationships with students, helping them develop self-confidence, emotional regulation, and a love for learning. With small class sizes and a supportive team environment, this school is ideal for someone who is patient, resilient, and driven to make a real impact.

You’ll work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff to help children re-engage with education and overcome barriers to learning. This is a role where you’ll genuinely be changing lives.

Key Responsibilities:

? Assist class teachers in developing and delivering individualised learning plans (IEPs).? Motivate and engage students who may present with challenging behaviour or dysregulated emotions.? Work closely with teachers and therapists to identify and address barriers to learning.? Provide emotional and educational support to build pupils’ confidence and self-esteem.? Help create and maintain a safe and calm learning environment.? Use a range of strategies to support students in regulating their emotions positively.

Requirements:

? Experience working with vulnerable young people in a support or mentoring role.? Calm, caring and consistent approach to behaviour management.? Great communication and teamwork skills.? Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.? Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).? Up-to-date safeguarding training.

Pay: £95-110 per day, PAYE & Holiday Pay
