Spencer Clarke Group are seeking TA Recovery Officer for a local authority based in Berkshire.

In this role, you will support households in temporary accommodation by ensuring accurate placements, completing key documents, assessing suitability, and managing housing duties.

Key Duties:

  • Complete sign-ups for temporary accommodation, including Housing Benefit forms and license agreements.
  • Update and maintain accurate records on NEC and Jigsaw systems.
  • Carry out suitability assessments and discharge housing duties (s.188/s.193) where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and apply safeguarding principles in all casework.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experience in temporary accommodation placement and/or management.
  • Knowledge of housing legislation, including s.188 and s.193 duties.
  • Proficiency in using housing systems such as NEC and Jigsaw.
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles and how to apply them in practice.

What's on offer:

Salary: Up to £22ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
